General Overview: The Product manager will serve as the domain expert for assigned capabilities in the Health Insurance Product Lifecycle. As the expert, they will understand & track market and Highmark strategy and use that knowledge to guide technology capability development. They will have the ability to analyze business processes and partner with the end-user subject matter experts on innovation and transformation opportunities. They will serve as a key business leader in the development of technology capabilities. They will author the High-Level Vision and Scope under the guidance of Director, incorporating inputs from stakeholders and the IT team. They will lead backlog prioritization and partner with IT Team/Vendor Director & Product Owner on planning, scope quality, & timely deliverables. The Product Manager will drive business adoption of these technology capabilities as evangelist for product deliverables, including driving readiness & adoption. As a senior member of the Health Plan Capabilities team, they will coach and mentor Product Analysts. Essential Job Functions: Understand the department's and the company's strategic roadmap and competitive position, and develops a holistic product vision and the corresponding product strategy to drive maximum value. Clearly set and communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions across audiences, from product team to executive levels. Actively anticipates future needs and utilizes metrics and qualitative input to identify asset improvement opportunities. Represent the product in all governance meetings. Serve as accountable owner for the sets of products/tools within the designated portfolio. Identify and drives both cross-product and cross-customer value and shared learnings. Guides Agile developments in the role of Product Owner. Own the product backlog and uses input from internal and partner teams to frequently refresh and re-prioritize the backlog. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Mathematics or related field ( Substitutions – Six (6) years related experience can be substituted for bachelor's degree) 5 years of Product experience to include: 5 years with the Software Lifecycle 3 years of Advanced domain experience Preferred Qualifications: 3 years with the Agile process Experience with Healthcare Payers Previous experience with Plan benefit management solutions Information development technology lifecycle experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Business Acumen for P&Ls Communication Conflict Management Referral Bonus: Level 1 Customer Service Representative Remote CBO Professional Remote Lead Financial Analyst Billing Associate Director Medical Cost Strategy Senior Financial Analyst Associate Underwriter Senior Medical Underwriter Remote
